Introduction 

Our India, a country of diverse cultures, rich history and mysteries, has many places full of mysterious and supernatural legends. From ancient forts and palaces to abandoned villages (villages which people have left long ago) to cemeteries, these places have long been wrapped in a peculiar aura that arouses the imagination of many people. In today's article, we will discuss about *visit to most haunted places in India*, the thought of visiting which makes some people sweat and about which there are many legends and myths and create curiosity in people to know about these places. Many people interested in the supernatural deliberately search for such mysterious unknown haunted places while most people try to avoid such places.        

 1 Haunted Vrijraj Bhwan Rajasthan 


Vrijraj Bhawan located in Kota district of Rajasthan is infamous for its haunted and mysterious incidents. It is a very old palace which has now been converted into a heritage hotel. It is said that during the revolt of 1857, Major Barten and his sons were shot dead in this palace and since then their ghost is wandering here. It is said about this village, which was suddenly abandoned in the 19th century, that there used to be an oppressive ruler Salum Singh here. Due to the oppressive policies of that local ruler and his evil eye on women, the villagers were forced to flee from here to protect their honor.  And they all ran away from there in the darkness of the night and then they cursed that just like we had to leave from here, in future also these settlements will not be fit for anyone to live in. Since then this village became deserted and due to the curse, this place has now become haunted. Visitors report very strange incidents happening here like unexplained noises, loud voices, some unknown fear, ghostly apparitions and it is also believed as if some invisible power is watching them. Many such eerie feelings are present in this fort.

You can visit Bhan Garh Fort in October to March months, because it is the best time for visit Bhan Garh Fort.

There is no entry  fees for visit to Bhan Garh Fort. For Kuldhra Village entry fee 10 ₹ perhead, if you visiting by car then you will pay 50 ₹

Another place full of strange mysteries is the Shaniwarwada Fort located in Pune, another western state of India, Maharashtra. Built in the 18th century, this fort, which was once the capital of the Peshwas, is said to be haunted by the ghost of a child named Rajkumar, who was brutally murdered by his own aunt. People have reported that despite the fort being deserted, strange sounds of children laughing, playing and screaming are heard here.

Ramoji Film City in Telangana city of Hyderabad is also one of the most haunted places in India. Spread over 2000 acres, Ramoji Film City is a huge studio where films used to be shot. There is also a huge complex and an amusement park here. There is a legend that this place is the graveyard of robbers and this place used oto be the battle ground of Nizam.

Roop Kund Lake is situated in the Himalayan mountains. The water of this lake remains frozen for most of the year. This lake hides many horrifying secrets in itself. When the frozen ice in this lake melts and turns into water, then its horrifying scenes are revealed. Then the horrifying sight of thousands of human skeletons scattered in the water of this lake can be seen. For the last several decades, the skeletons scattered in this lake have been a subject of curiosity in the human mind. While some people believe that these skeletons belong to the soldiers who died in the ancient Kalik war, some people also believe that these skeletons belong to those people who were killed in the name of sacrifice in various rituals and since then it has become famous as a haunted lake.

There is a lot of greenery around here but this place is very scary for solo travelers at night. It is believed that at night a girl asks for lift from solo travelers and if the person does not give lift to that girl, then she follows him and goes ahead of him from there at a fast speed. This scene scares a person a lot and if that traveler gives her lift, then some untoward incident happens to him.

There is a Vrindavan Society in Delhi where a few years ago a person committed suicide by jumping from a building. Since then people believe that his soul is still wandering here and it keeps making people feel its presence. Many strange incidents have been experienced by people here, so till now no one dares to go to this place at night.

Assam is stuated in the northeast of India. It is largest city of Northeastern India. Its capital is Hafnong, 330 km away from Guwahati. "Jatinga" is situated in Dimahaso district at a height in its hills. Though this village is a center of attraction for visitors due to its natural beauty, despite this, it is such a dreadful and mysterious place in Dimahaso district where thousands of birds come and commit suicide in the months of September and November and humans are also prohibited from going here at night. Since the year 1910, thousands of birds have lost their lives together. Local people believe that these birds come here to commit suicide. In 1957, for the first time it came to the fore that birds die mysteriously here. Till date, no one has been able to solve this mystery that how so many birds die together here as soon as the sun sets. Till now, many scientists are trying to solve this mystery that do all these birds really come here to commit suicide or does it happen due to some other reason? Even big scientists are unable to solve this puzzle till now.
